Chary Produce Gives Back Posted on Jun 6, 2018

I was very excited to learn of the opportunity to become involved with the Daily Bread Food Bank.  The idea of supplying fresh produce to an organization known for helping so many people, as well as the idea of fostering a closer connection between city and country to show the bounty available right here in our own back yard is so satisfying.  In 2017 we donated over 20,000 lbs of fresh tomatoes, peppers, and zucchini.  We’re looking forward to growing this partnership in 2018! Please check out our video.

UN International Year of the Soils Posted on Aug 3, 2015

It's not just dirt...you step on it everyday, grow grass on it, even possibly make mud pies...it's soil, and without healthy soil, you won't get healthy food.   The Food and Agricultural Organization of the UN has declared 2015 Interrnational Year of Soils.   The soil in Ontario is called Guelph Soil, and it covers 40,500 hectares and produces just about every kind of crop that can be grown in our climate.  It's worthy or our respect and protections.
Check out the link www.fao.org/soils-2015/en/ for more information.
